Poetry, Arts, and Publishing

A midnight swim
In the lonely hours of night
The moon casting a pale smile
In the velvet quite of dark

The cool blue pool
Throwing shadows on my skin
His eyes, like sea glass, close slowly
Pearls melted over his bones

A ocean tucked away
In a backyard of L.A.
It's the taste of chlorine that lingers
Though I can imagine the salt of forgotten beaches

A mermaid swimming in the depths of my soul
Though, supposedly, I am to old for such dreams
The reflections on the water
Break with each ripple my tears make
