Poetry, Arts, and Publishing

Well time is on for new year's resolutions. I'm making some that not only I'll benefit from but that I'll embrace the joy of achieving. Eating smaller amounts of healthy, tasty food (instead of whatever's cheapest and biggest) with hours apart between meals. Writing a poem every day for that day (instead of just random stuff I'll make it more to the live-in-the-moment than before) and making a book of poems from it. Finishing Moon Mist Valley. Continuing the Artifact and Poet's Espresso. And writing towards finishing my novel (using exercises from "the daily writer" a book I just bought AND modeling the novel after my favorite novel, but not anything like the setting of, "The Integral Trees" by Larry Niven). That and submitting material out sometimes and maybe writing song lyrics with my friend Scott and attending the readings (and hosting the Poetry as a Life workshop every 2nd Friday) and workshops in the community. And maintaining my work. And maybe doing some creative stuff in graphic design or drawing. And getting structured and organized in my contacts, communications, projects, and time spending.

Now that sounds like a lot but I'm going to try for all of it, and as I go I might drop a little thing now and then for something else more immediate.

What about you?
