Hi Rashida, be sure to check out the S.O.S. Open Mic at 1825 Pacific Ave. in Empresso Coffeehouse, Stockton. It's at 6:30pm on the 2nd Tuesday of each month.

Spoken word, you say? 2nd Fridays in the evening, as part of the Art Walk, is the closest thing to it in Stockton, at the Stockton Hotel right across from the theatres over on El Dorado St. www.withourwords.org
